Day 1 of 63: The Fit Test

I did the Fit Test today and I think the results were pretty pathetic.

Before performing the Fit Test I wasn't feeling all too well, but I wanted to do it anyways. I also didn't eat or follow the suggested meal plan because I haven't had a chance to plan it out well (it requires a ton of planning, don't know why they can't make it simpler.. more about this in a later post).

Fit Test 1
1. Switch Kicks: 88
2. Power Jacks: 31
3. Power Knees: 52
4. Power Jumps: 20
5. Globe Jumps: 5
6. Suicide Jumps: 7
7. Push-up Jacks: 16
8. Low Plank Oblique: 30

By the end of the test I was dizzy and exhausting and dripping in sweat. Man... I am totally out of shape!!!

Here is a youtube video so you get an idea of how tought it is from GetFitReedman (this is not me and I am not trying to infringe any copyrights).

Day 0 of 63: Offical Measurements and Pictures

Here are my stats:

Waist: 36"
Height: 5' 10"
Chest: 38.5"
Bicep (L): 13" (R): 13"
Calves (L): 15" (R): 15"

I won't be really measuring my progress through these, but will see the progress more with pictures.

The Harris Benedict Equation = Caloric Intake Calculation

I started reading the book and the first thing you need to do is define your goal and calculate how many calories you need accordingly.

Step 1. Calculate BMR - basic energy requirements
Link: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

Step 2)Use the Harris Benedict Equation
Link: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/harris-benedict-equation/

Step 3) Add or subtract 250-300 calories for weight loss / gain

My Calculations.
Weight = 167 lbs
Height = 70 inches
Age = 27
Goal: Gain lean muscle mass.

My BMR= 1811.81
Harris Benedict = 1811.81 * 1.7 (Very Active) = 3080.08. That is a lot of calories!!!

Caloric Needs per day to Gain Weight=3350

I'll post my official stats in a later post.
